Festiville Of The Little Hills

My Mom and I spent a few hours on Sunday at the Festival of the Little Hills here in Missouri. While it was somewhat rainy, it wasn't dreadfully hot like it usually is in August. It was nice not being a sweaty mess after five minutes of walking! The festival is kind of like a craft fair on steroids. It's held on Main Street in Saint Charles and is absolutely huge.

There were easily 150 vendors selling a wide variety of merchandise. You can find interior decorations, candels, clothing, artists, photographers, leather makers, musicians, and a huge amount of food! One of the first unique things I found were these letters made from actual books. These were absolultely amazing, but of course the didn't have an E... Did I mention they were on $5? Such a steal!

While not all the clothing there was my cup of tea, I found a few great things like these Infinity scarfs. My favorite thing about them was the price, they were only $10! Take that expensive scarves. The pink chevron pattern was so cute.

My absolute favorite booth was a home scent vendor. Not only did this guy make interesting candles, he had an amazing selection of  potpourri. I know it's still august, but I just had to pick up some of the fall scents. However, I wasn't quite ready to hand over the $6 for the Christmas scents so soon. The fall scents were amazing. The Pumpkin Pie smelled exactly likes a delicious dessert, and the mini pumpkins were a perfect touch. My personal favorite was Fall Harvest, which smells similar to B&B Leaves

Who doesn't love a great festival? It's always tons of fun and we managed to make it back to our car before it started pouring. Stay tuned for an upcoming post about heading back to school. Yesterday was my first day back. Speaking of school, I actually have to go do homework... Can you sense the excitement?

Have a great Wednesday!
- Katie
